This weekend marks our first full weekend of coaching as well as our Parent Meeting. The Meeting will be in the Stockade Lodge (aka the "little lodge") at 9am. Parents should be prepared to spend a few minutes outside with the coaches and athletes while we go over some stretches. Then, parents will come back inside while the athletes head out with Pat for some runs. If you have not handed in all forms and/or payment, please bring them with you and give them to Anne at the meeting. See you there!

It's finally here, but mother nature is still making it hard on us. Tomorrow's weather calls for freezing rain, so dress appropriately cuz we are still going out. Parents should be prepared though in the event that the group decides to end the day a little early. But if everyone is prepared (and weather isn't too harsh) then we should be fine. See everyone at the Stockade Lodge at 9am.

Although today will NOT be an official session day (we still have first day re-scheduled for Sat Dec 31st), I do intend to get some runs in on Gunstock's opening day today. Hope to see you too for some first season tracks!!

With Mother Nature having a hard time this year, there simply isn't enough snow for Gunstock to safely open this weekend. Therefore, today's 'Parent Meeting' and 'Ride/Ski with the Coaches Day' will need to be rescheduled. We will move our 'Ride/Ski with the Coaches Day' to Saturday Dec 31st (Coach Steve's birthday) and our 'Parent Meeting' will be the following week on Saturday Jan 7th. Untill then, let's keep prying for snow!!! -Steve-

The 2012 season is quickly approaching and preparations are already underway! If you havn'e recieved a newsletter from Anne, let us know and we will get you the info ASAP. First thing to note is DO NOT REGISTER WITH USASA OR USSA YET!! At least, not until we have made a final decicion on which program we will be insuring GFA under for 2012. The new GFA Coaches jackets have arrived and we will be adding GFA flair to them shortly. Our Competitive Option has been revised for 2012. This season, instead of offering a mid-week session (which wasn't very popular) we will instead offer event coaching at 2 USASA Slopestyle events (including 1-on-1 prep coaching sessions prior to both events). We felt this catered better to our athletes needs. There will be more info posted as things are finalized. Till then...PRAY FOR SNOW!! -Steve-

The annual GFA fundraising event was a HUGE success. Wow. Wow. and Wow! Today was awesome! The Progression Park is finaly open and it ROCKS! Conditions were great. But best of all, everyone did so well today. I think every athlete there today pushed themselves and showed a great amount of progress. Great job team! I'm stoked about how well today went and can't wait to go out again tomorrow. Finally, Ride with the Coaches Day is here! Tomorrow we will all meet in the Stockade Lodge and head to the lifts promptly @ 9am. As with every session, please try to show up at least 15min early. We will welcome all the new and returning athletes, as well as 2 new coaches Eric Dawson & Pat O'Brien. It's just a casual day of freeriding/freeskiing to let everyone get our snow-legs back and to get to know each other. As soon as the holidays are done, we will start the coaching sessions (Sat-Jan 1st). I'm stoked and I hope you all are too! See you tomorrow!!! -Steve-

Ride with the Coaches Day is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 18th from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. It is a fun casual day for everyone to get to know each other and maybe even set some personal goals. Everyone will meet in the Stockade, "little", lodge...remember to bring your lunch, snacks and water. Steve Lee, head coach, and Anne Guyotte will be there to welcome everyone. GFA will not be holding sessions on Dec 25th or 26th. Enjoy your holidays!

Gunstock Mountain Resort has a current Opening Day planned for Friday, Dec 3rd. Which means GFA will be having our annual Meet, Ski & Ride day soon after. So keep praying for snow, and keep checking site updates for finalized date and times.
